 This is a tour high on my favourite tours, mainly because of the quality of accommodation and the spectacle of snowy mountains. We have planned a full itinerary for the days you are there.Nearby are the seven most famous Swiss passes. From our hotel we have planned an optional ride out taking in all the passes, Grimsel, Furka, St. Gottard, Nufenen, Lukamanier, Oberalp and Susten. You ride them at your leisure, absorb the views and take loads of photographs but if you decide to view the mountains from your hotel room you will miss most of the reason for coming on this tour. However if the dizzy heights don’t appeal then right on your doorstep are the impressive galleries of the Trummelbach Falls or alternatively the curious Aares Gorges whose dim light and jade green water gush through the vertical rock faces at an incredible speed.  I have run this tour for several years and its never failed to please. The scenery has amazed photographers, gourmets have raved over the food, many others have been impressed by the quality of the hotels and all have been left speechless by the grandeur of the passes.As an optional extra we have the possibility of a helicopter flight around the famous Eiger Mountain and a trip to The Top of Europe through the Eiger Tunnel onto the sensational Jungfraujoch at 11780ft, at that altitude the air is so thin every step comes an effort. |
