Dijon, France Coupes Moto Legende
28th-31st May
• Accompanied by Barry and Janneane MSL tour guides
• Now in its
fourth year
• Centrally located hotel in Dijon
• An enthusiasts dream
• Distance approx 350 miles
Regular readers of MSL magazine will have noticed the increasing interest in Coupes Moto Legende. Last years tour was a huge success and over subscribed so we have repeated the same formula with all the trimmings to make your weekend even more enjoyable.
The route will include a stretch of motorway to get you away from Calais and well on your way from then on it’s a quiet national road through wonderful Burgundy countryside to our hotel, which is within a stones throw of the centre of restaurants, bars and shops.
At the former GP circuit we will have our own exclusive parking area so that you may relax while you enjoy the sights and sounds of the events as they unfold.
Parade follows parade, only a break for lunch French style interrupts proceedings on the track, which is a good time to browse round the huge auto-jumble and club stands. Velocette, Norton and the Frome Classic Clubs fly the flag for the Brits and French marques of Peugeot and Terrot do the same for the French. But this is only a small part of Moto Legende.
Officially there is no racing amongst the entry of over 1000 but it’s hard to stop riders like Phil Read, Christian Sarron and Ron Chandler from having a go! I never actually saw any grown men cry but the sights and sounds of MV exotica, Gilera fours and Honda six’s are certainly enough to bring a lump in your throat.

What they said about us…
It was such a pleasure to wonder around the paddock without being pestered by marshals asking to see passes – so much freedom. Lionel |
