The smooth roads are shared at times with herds of sheep on the mountain passes. You will be reminded of the Alps when you see Mount Cook. At 12,349 ft (3764 m), it is the highest mountain in New Zealand.
Test your courage at bungee jumping, white water rafting or jet boating in Queenstown, the city where many Olympic skiers practice during the southern hemisphere’s winter months.
On the west coast of the South Island, you have the chance to ride on your own to Milford Sound through a wide valley rimmed by mountains, where palm trees grow and wildlife teems on land and sea! As you proceed past breathtaking peaks of the Franz Josef and Fox glaciers there’s the opportunity to take a helicopter ride and land on the crest of the glacier.
Your bags will be waiting in your room upon arrival at the hand-picked hotels. You’ll be sure to share the day’s riding experience with everyone over a glass of New Zealand’s great wine and a feast of fresh seafood, venison, lamb, fresh fruits and vegetables. The itinerary includes transporting the bikes across Cook Strait to the North Island. This island also offers mountainous roads that provide great views.
