Romania ‘Fly and Ride’
Ride the Transfăgărășan and Transalpina Highways!
‘We were wrong, this is better than the Stelvio, this is the best road in the world!’ so said the inimitable Jeremy Clarkson about the Transfagarasan Highway!
Passing over the Fagara mountains in the Southern Carpathian mountains in Transylvania at over 2000 metres and over 150 kms long, the DN7C or Transfagarasan Highway is probably one of the most challenging, iconic and scenic roads that you will ever ride.
Book your flights to Romania, Otopeni arrive on Sunday afternoon and with an inclusive transfer to our Bucharest hotel, your bike for the week will be waiting for you!
Our carefully planned five day route route however will take you further than the DN7C and through some of the most stunning and challenging areas of Romania as we ride through the mountainous ranges of the Southern Carpathians, also known as the Transylvanian Alps.
We will be staying at some quality three* hotels for B&B accommodation during our seven night Romanian adventure, selected to enhance your experience of the tour route and itinerary, including a two night stay in the centre of Bucharest as we transition to and from Otopeni Airport.
We will be travelling with an SUV in support, towing a trailer with the ability to fix minor problems and repair inevitable punctures! If all else fails we will have a spare bike on the trailer to minimise any impact on your riding time! Additional kit or the odd pillion can also be stowed away safely away in the car, leaving you to enjoy your ride on a lighter and more responsive bike!
Our dedicated, enthusiastic and experienced Romanian bike guide will be on hand to show you the best roads and sights to visit, making this a real adventure and the memories unforgettable!
